The rakish marks and considered lines drawn onto the plastic sheets at my studio in San Francisco traveled with me to New York City last month where they were emulsified onto printmaking screens. At Marginal Editions studio, located on the 8th floor of a rusty, brick building in New York City, I pulled loaded pigments across a silkscreen, smearing their colors on cotton paper below.
Each pass of the screen acts like a recurring motif, layering distinct combinations onto each print. The expression is different each time, in color, orientation, and order. Each piece is unique.
These 30” x 22” monoprints now comprise The Chelsea Series - 46 works on paper, printed on the West Side of Manhattan in Chelsea. I am proud to present my work with Marginal Editions studio and Joshua Liner Gallery.
