I'm honored to share that my work has been selected for The Urban Institute of Contemporary Art (UICA) group exhibition : Color of the Year.
The works in the show will be utilizing the 2018 PANTONE® Color of the Year, 18-3838 Ultra Violet, to explore the influence that fine art has on colors used in art, fashion and interior /industrial design. Color of the Year shares the experience from inspiration to realization with work by local, national and international artists. Artists involved in the exhibition are not required to use Ultra Violet entirely. Instead, we are encouraged to use the color as a departure point.
My work will be represented in the form of a large 95 ft mural at the entrance of the institute. You're invited to join us in Grand Rapids, Michigan on opening night on April 6th.
When: Opening Night, April 6th at 5:30-9pm
Where: Urban Institute of Contemporary Art: 2 Fulton St W, Grand Rapids, MI
Admission is free.
Small bites provided and enjoy music by DJ Romy Glazer. Looking forward to seeing you there—but if you can’t make opening night, the show will be open until July 29, 2018.
“Complex and contemplative, Ultra Violet suggests the mysteries of the cosmos, the intrigue of what lies ahead and the discoveries beyond where we are now.” — PANTONE®
