Dark Interior by Erik Parra at Eleanor Harwood Gallery

Dark Interior by Erik Parra at Eleanor Harwood Gallery

As January closes and February opens, I’m looking forward to attending as many local art shows as I can. Seeing how other artists are creating and conveying is feeling like a necessary dose of both encouragement and education.

This month, I’m attracted to Erik Parra’s texture and transparency techniques that convey spatial awareness in his work (Eleanor Harwood Gallery). I’m also excited to see Yetunde Olagbaju’s group show at Pro Arts—she was part of Conversations and Color’s women’s panel and I’m looking forward to connecting her words and art together.

All in all, February looks full of show choices and you can’t go wrong with any.
