This month's gallery openings and receptions are looking diverse. From seeing the wall-on-canvas paintings of Chad Hasegawa to the youth artist works of Mission Voices Summer, getting out into the city to attend one (or more) of these might open your mind to new possibilities and allow for a moment of mental tranquility. For me, art is a form of meditation. Nothing carries you away and clears the mind like visiting art galleries. When I spend time around other artists I get new ideas for writing or even come up with solutions for unfinished painting.

Here's to another month of eye opening shows around the Bay Area. Hope to see you there.
