After a wonderful month-long run, my solo show, Conversations and Color has officially ended. I’m pleased to share that our catalog is now available for purchase through Athen B. Gallery.

Conversations and Color Catalog by Heather Day

Co-created with Luke Williams, former senior designer from the MoMA in New York, our 76-page softcover book acts as a colorful field guide to the works—with full views of paintings and close looks at textural details from the show. I wrote reflections throughout to explain mediums, process and inspirations behind my recent work. The conclusion of the catalog also includes details on how we designed and built the exhibit.

On opening night, I watched as people snapped photos and tucked away exhibition postcards. It reminded me of my tendency to pick up a stone or take a photo while hiking or working in nature to keep a memory. Whether you made it to the exhibition or journeyed with me through social media, I invite you to take a piece of the show with you.

This catalogue was a team effort. Thanks to my editor Kate Holthouser for polishing my words, to Margaret Austin for photography, Luke Williams for design and to Lauren Midori Hsia for managing and seeing this project through to the end with me.
